Filmmaker FAQ (See Below)

Dear Filmmakers:

The Washington, DC Independent Film Festival is gearing up for its 12th Annual celebration to be held March 4 - 14, 2010. We hope that you choose DCIFF, submit your film and join the DCIFF family.

This year promises to be the best ever. The Washington DC Independent Film Festival (DCIFF) is an award winning annual festival showcasing: the best independent films from around the world; Master Classes, Seminars & Workshops conducted by industry professionals; blending with a Music Festival to provide world class event. In addition, unique to DCIFF is the annual "Independent Film Summit on the Hill" which brings together filmmakers and policymakers to discuss the state of the industry. For more info, contact us!

In general, DCIFF receives over 2300 films (features, shorts, animation and documentary) from around the world, out of which approximately 110 films will be selected. We have many special events planned, including the special presentations at the festival, seminars, a music festival and on March 4th, we will hold the "Independent Film Summit on the Hill" (formerly known as the Advocacy Forum), where we invite you to come, listen and discuss the state of the film industry with industry leaders and government representatives. The main agenda is to discuss: How to stimulate more independent film production here in the US. Don't miss this opportunity to let your voice be heard. Please complete the questionnaire and send us your suggestions for topics by February 10th, 2010.

We hope that you will make the most of your time here in our nation's capital and let us know how we can best serve you.If you have further questions or need more information, please contact us: filmmakers@dciff.org or (202) 333 6615. Thank you again for your interest in DCIFF.
