2009 Highlights
DCIFF 2009 was a success! DCIFF offered filmmakers, audience members and sponsors alike with a 12 day filmic experience presenting 117 films, 12 seminars, receptions, a music festival, and Independent Film Summit on the Hill in our nation's capitol. | Independent Film Summit on the Hill March 4, 2009 Sponsored by the Office of Congresswoman Diane E. Watson and the Congressional Entertainment Industries Caucus.
Filmmakers from throughout the country came to Washington, DC to discuss the state of the Independent film industry. Leading industry, legal and government experts discussed key issues that impace the independent film and media industry. This is only event where industry members can come to our nation's capital and have their voices be heard. |

Seminars DCIFF 2009 presented seminars on both the creative and business side of film. These panels and workshops were presented by leading industry professionals on the following themes: Acting, Animation, Distribution, Filming in DC, Finance, Grants, Legal, Master Class, Music, Open Content, Red Camera, Scriptwriting. |
